    Youth Furniture

The Youth Furniture I’m introducing does not encompass the whole scope of furniture an infant or toddler may need. However, we offer lasting and useful furnishings that are designed for active children to adolescents. I’d like to introduce an activity play table made with a dense molded plastic top supported by a bent iron frame with metal telescoping, lockable legs for adjustable height. This is a very sturdy and versatile activity table. It’s scratch-resistant, waterproof and easy to clean, featuring curved edges that allows kids to make room for all of their friends. It has stackable chairs, one weight tested up to 150 lbs with a 10.5″ seat height, and one 14″ chair that’s weight tested upwards 400 lbs.

High on the demand list of youth furniture are bunk beds.  We look for bunk beds that bring the safety of a tiny staircase to get to the top bunk with storage incorporated into the design.  Our pick has all wood construction, bolted assembly, bed slats with two generously sized under-bed storage drawers available for the lower bunk.  There are two available styles, one rustic and one in a honey-pine finish.  Matching chests and dressers are available with the sets.  The matching chests are lower in height to accommodate the height of a youth.

Furthermore, study chairs and desks, or bean bags, rockers and small overstuffed lounge chairs are available for youthful downtime in the bedroom.  An alternative to the bunk bed and space-saving options are a captain bed with a trundle or an option for storage replacing the trundle. Many single senior adults find their needs change and some prefer a twin bed that appeals to adults.  The spectrum of fine wood or upholstered headboards meets that appeal.  For the trendy, there’s twin bed with study areas, stack 3 bunk beds, twin over full bunks.

    Artisan Redesigned & Repurposed

We have some fun with artisan design and redesign, utilizing paint and an old chair cut in half.  This was done by Vicki Dodd as a substitute for hall trees or coat racks; it includes a table or, wait, a chair!

If you drop it at the spot by the door, you’ll always find it on your way out.

My next written introduction will be about a renewed interest in solid wood furniture.  Then our feature story is about our latest endeavor TFD Consignment Shop.  We now consign furniture, and we like to call it The Frugal Design Consignment Shop. However, really, it’s just us and people we consign for.  ‘Till next time – Herein are The Expressful Elements of Dawn Dodd
